http://okapifigmentdroll.blogspot.com/ is my blog. THIS IS NOT A FAKE ITS THE REAL DEAL YO! I want you shes so heavy. Recorded at Trident Studios, London, 21 Feb 1969. The Beatles follow the foot steps of Cream as a heavy rock trio while George is abcent with this Early Version of Johns I want you. Funnily enough it is Paul who sings here, making this the only occasion where he takes the lead vocal on a Beatles Original he hasnt written.

I'm quite sure it is actually John singing for most part of the song, with Paul only dropping in for the "Heavy" in the choruses

Paul sang this song during the rehearsals a few times, so not so weird that he is the one who sings here, you hear it more clearly on the "chorus", John could never do that kind of "vibrato"

From what I've read, Paul and John agreed to a switch- John wanted to sing lead on one of Paul's songs, and in exchange, he was willing to give "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" to Paul. I forget which song of Paul's John wanted to sing lead on. One thing for sure- it wasn't "Maxwell's Silver Hammer"! :DUpdate: John wanted to sing lead on "Oh! Darling".

Very good cover ! But ... Beatles ... Paul ... never ... impossible ... ludicrous affirmation ... you'll never deceive a real beatlemaniac whose ears are extremely sharp ... Keep tryin' ... !!! Renato Cardoso - Rio - Brazil

I agree, the drum style does not sound like Ringo. The vocals sound a little different than Paul too.

No, YOU'RE wrong. While it's true that the recording you mentioned exists, this ain't it! This is the same band that recorded a track called "Oh, I Need You" - also not The Beatles. It MIGHT be Mortimer, but I wouldn't even put my money on them either. It's most likely some 70s band who will never be identified. You can even hear the vocalist sing the word 'heavy' in such a way that sounds nothing like Paul. And while Paul has used many different singing styles in his life, this one is foreign.
