The Beatles - Devil In Her Heart 1963

"Devil in His Heart" (or "Devil in Her Heart") is a song originally written by Richard Drapkin, who recorded under the name Ricky Dee.

As "Devil in Her Heart", the song was performed by The Beatles with George Harrison on lead vocals. It was recorded and issued on their second UK album, With The Beatles, in November 1963. The recording was completed in three takes, plus overdubs.

# George Harrison -- double-tracked vocal, lead guitar

# Paul McCartney -- backing vocal, bass

# John Lennon -- backing vocal, rhythm guitar

# Ringo Starr -- drums, maracas

# George Martin -- producer

In other news, I have added the lyrics to this song so you can sing along, or perhaps learn the song! This is how I learned my first Beatles song! Enjoy :)

i think this song is just incredible. this would be the perfect song to play live. i can imagine john and paul looking at george telling him that his woman is evil, and george looking right back at them convincing them that shes an angel.

Again another John lyric of a woman to be or not to be trusted with his heart; at least a dozen songs cover this territory of John's psyche in the 1st-5 albums. The spur for this kind of writing had to be his mother, rather than any 'fiend-woman' in his past. Only his mother could have raked him so deeply, and by the muse transferred fresh imagery via George Martin into a superficial love story.

This sounds like a friend trying to persuade another friend to not go for a girl that will break his heart in the end.

George says her lips really thrill me. Not that they are thrilling. It took me three times to say something this small?????????????????????????????????????????

Actually I remember when I was 14 I wondered why "SHE'S GOT THE DEVIL IN HER HEART" was not a more popular song. 50 years later I still wonder why this song was not at least one of the Beatles top 5 songs ever, ( Again I had a similar thought when I was 14 in 1964), wow! It really rocks and George sings lead, mixed with John and Paul's great singing 50% of the time! I've always remembered this as George's best song as far as singing lead goes even tho he did many other great songs with the Beatles singing lead, but this has to be number one!

I've never heard the Beatles sang a more exciting and cool song. How did this song get lost back in 1964, we'll I guess they only had about 100 number one songs a month back in those days, but what a wonderful piece of gold I found here on You Tube!
