while Jimmie strimell is a good singer...I can't help but agree he sounds like a metalcore singer and is not cut out for an actual melodeath band.

I personally like Jimmie in the mix. With Lindberg on vox, they sounded way too similar to ATG, which is understandable because he was the vocalist for ATG. This gives them some nice distinction

it might take time, but someday you will learn that the vocals are the LEAST important thing when defining the genre of a band. Extreme examples: Hip Hop with black metal shrieks would stil be hip hop; Cannibal Corpse w/o death metal growls would still be death metal Don't call me crazy just yet.
