I love alestorm, but, keelhauling was a form of punishment where the victim was tied to a rope that was looped under the ship. Then the rope would be pulled, dragging said victim under the boat and back aboard. This usually resulted in death. Has nothing to do with fighting the kraken or any other terror squid
