Pathetic. Disappointing and easily avoidable, presumably these were packaged while QA was on break or are a true sign of the ol' "get em' out the door as fast as you can" business strategy. Either way, inexcusable. Check your sets y'all and be sure you're not a victim of the same expensive mistake.

I think that this will be like a misstrike on a coin, or a double printed stamp. This album of yours may be worth money, someday. Also, I'm not sure you appreciate HOW these albums are actually made. It's a totally automated process. You just got a wonderful album!!! Not a failure at all! If you don't want it, I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands at retail price......

I have the same case as you: I have a copy of Pops Festival from Reader's Digest with is practically mint! (Cover is in not that good shape) Record 6 was replaced by another Record 1 with the same music.

. okay here goes first off the new vinyl pressing of the stereo Beatles release are just this CD versions transferred to vinyl do yourself a favor just buy the CD of this. I know you're going to say I'm crazy I've been dealing with records all my life I'm a former broadcast engineer retired. if you do want a real gem by all means get the mono release of the albums that were only ever released in mono it is a wonderful Set this was taking from the original master tapes unlike the stereo reissues. very little was done to the mono vinyl reissues except to clean them up a bit and leave out as much processing as possible. this CD project was so difficult and time consuming and they want the loss of George Harrison it was never going to be a truly complete project the stereo versions of this set should never have been released on vinyl they're just a do over of the CD collection put on vinyl save your money do by the mono Set. have fun by

i understand your disappointment, but it's nice to 'imagine' it MIGHT be worth something in the future--as a (i was going to say 'misprint') mistake.  you never know, sometimes it happens.

wonder if this happened to any one else. But even if it did, that is complete crap. They had one job to deliver a high quality product for the price. I honestly don't understand how such a big mistake could get past. This isn't a small mistake like print wearing off the labels (which also sucks), IT'S THE EXACT SAME RECORD WHEN WE WERE PROMISED 2 DIFFERENT RECORDS!!!! Killer video and I definitely hope something like this doesn't happen to me

I'm assuming you got your hands on the 2014 Mono release. What's your take on it? I love how authentic and close to detail it is, down to the top opening and the reintroduction of the serial numbers.

The Rainbow US pressing of the Stereo White Album remaster - I went through 3 copies of "off center" pressed LPs - and these records are NOT cheap. On the last copy, I just reamed a larger spindle hole and I manually center the grooves so that it can be played. Completely fucked up.  Fucking EMI - CRAPITOL bastards!

I had the same problem when I bought the reissue of All Things Must Pass on Vinyl in 2001. Luckily I bought it from a shop and was still in town when I opened it up and found that there was still two Side 1 & 2. Went back to the shop and they had to open four copies and found the same mistake in each of them. The fifth copy luckily had the correct three vinyls, so that day I went home and was able to play it.

Bro, the copy to own is the German DMM stereo version. I have it on white vinyl and it is hands down the best pressing available.

I received the 2014 mono reissue as a present, and I must say I am delighted with the sound quality, this is the only Beatles album I didn't have in mono (as the original pressing is way over priced!), vinyl is dead quiet and the mix variations from the stereo version make it an interesting listen. I also bought Revolver from these series... sounds great too!

SMF at the same token, I have a Black Crowes live album that has She Talks to Angels printed on both sides, but the two sides are really different songs

I can relate to this! I was given the mono vinyl box set for Christmas this year. I pulled out every album and it was fantastic! I pulled out the last album, Mono Masters. I pulled out LP1. Great. Pulled out LP2. Great. Pulled out the so called LP3 and it was LP1. Again! However, we contacted Amazon and they are currently sending a new copy of Mono Masters. Great video!

Hello there. It's good to point it out, the problem I mean but trust me, that is not the worse problem! Do you know that 3 out of 5 vinyl albums have issues nowadays? All new recordings from 2009 (I think). Vinyls are not completely flat which causes bad reproduction, one little "hill" of vinyl powder (during pressing) can "throw" your needle to the second track (if you're "lucky" lol) and in some records you hear discharge noises between tracks. Did you also know that records 180g were used only in gramophones because then (around the 40s-50s) it was their first pressing attempts for the production companies. After 50s all record pressings were thin 'cause the factories started to get the pressing procedure good. I found out that all pressings are made in 5 US factories and the people working there have no freaking idea how to handle vinyls at all. So don't get sucked in the marketing scam "180g of pure vinyl" it's like they admit that they cannot press quality records like those from 50s - 2000. Do you also know that I went as usual to my HMV store for a monthly exchange of a (not flat) record (I usually buy up to 12 vinyls a month) and they told me that 2 of the biggest record labels (SonyBMG, Warner) stopped taking records back so the store issued a new policy: "Final sale on vinyls" which means that you buy a $30 - $60 vinyl and if it's in bad condition you cannot exchange it or get a money refund anymore!!! How about that? And while the vinyl sales were hitting the top destroying the useless cds, with these problems I believe  that unfortunately vinyls are going to hit rock bottom.. :-(

I couldn't agree more. I just bought a bunch of the Kiss 180 reissues (I know - no surprise there, right?) and some of them have seam splits under the shrink wrap. that is obviously caused by poor handling when being packaged.I do however have a Love Gun with a mispress. so kinda like how you dont have record 2 of this album, My Love Gun does not have a side 2. It plays side 1 on both sides. I will upload a video sample of it for you to check out.Did you see if the record store would exchange it?

To whom it cay concern...including BioCYTE1 yourself.I have recently wanted to re-start my vinyl collection that I had years ago. No offence to people who love the Mono Boxset, however, I am in the market for the Stereo vinyl boxset and since I have read many times that the European version is way superior to the US version I wondered (since I am from Canada)How do I tell with/from a sealed copy of the box from any local store or ordering from Amazon which one is from Europe and which one is the US?? Are there any indicators that I got the pressing from Germany? Here in Canada it states on the individually sold albums on it's promo label that it is from Capitol (US)Also, what should I be paying for the box? Here in Canada I found a sealed for $319.99 and also I have seen some on Amazon for $289.99 ...again not knowing where it was actually pressed.I would be grateful for any help from ANYONE with any insight.ThanksDarrin
