I really wish that people would just keep their bullshit opinions to themselves. "I hate it", "I love it", It's great", It's garbage". Just shut the fuck up. if you don't like it, move on and shut your fucking mouth. If you like it, listen to it, move on and shut your fucking mouth. No one gives a shit about anyone else's opinions, you assholes.

I saw them in 78-79 and his Eruption was played almost identical to this. When he was doing the very fast sequence 0:48 , I remember he was running from one end of the stage to the other end. I never have seen or heard anything like that then or since then. What a great master!

U know, for the first while Eddie came out on the scene, I thought he was the best guitar player in the world and from Mars. But now, I can honestly say, he doesn't do a thing for me anymore. Watch Ted Nugent's performance on the German TV show "Rockpalast" that's some killer guitar playing right there.

WOW - guitar solo , whatever , BUT I WAS THERE !!! I saw them on their veryfirst tour of the U.S. - the okc arm pit . He [ e.vh. ] was on the verge of alcoholismand them okies have since bulldozed the fairgrounds grandstand . Ten bands ten bucks. What a fukin disaster , then and now . Thank goodness for MEGADETH! WE'D ALL BE STUCK LISTENING TO THIS SHIT.

In the early 80's, when VH 'blew up big', EVH spawned a whole generation of guitar wankers. In those days, digital effects were just coming out and there were a lot of purists, like myself, who felt that layering to many toys, grabbing the whammy bar and torturing your instrument would make what you hear here, just noise. When I attempted to form my first band in 1981 I was in my drummer's apartment in NYC when I heard someone downstairs attempting such a violation of his electric guitar. I mean endless hammering, noodling and bending. It was somethihg I never wanted to do, and when I asked who it was I was told it was some 16 year old kid who was "the next eddie van halen". A dubious distinction. Don't play faster - play smarter, and speed wwill come to you. Start with speed and ... you'll crash. :-)

haha "the electric guitar of the 1980s, Mr. Ed Van Halen" Yeah, thats Ed in 1984, right next to Boy George and Karma Chameleon on the radio. Ed plays some fluffy keyboards on Jump, lets Dave talk about his standing next to the record machine, but then unleashed some heavy metal guitar. Wow.And the above crud sounds like any teen warming up in his garage or basement - a whole lot of wanky repetition and noise
