no shit production matters, but I don't think that the production for this album was subpar when it came out. And the appeal of this album was from the raw and gritty sound that didn't need much production anyway, that's why when you saw them live they sounded EXACTLY how they did on record. Don't get me wrong though, if they decided to come out with a re-record this album with top notch production I would love that10 years ago

nobody gives a shit when you got into the band you fucking hipster. believe it or not, most people actually listen to what they like, isnt that crazy?? so yeah, probably no posers here. anyways, i think hes right, this album is pretty shitty. boring riffs, weak vocals, shit production. this is the sound of an inexperienced band that was still growing. I'm 25, and also listened to this album when it came out. I never got into The Oncoming Storm, but In The Eyes of Fire is definitely one of my favorite albums of theirs. This song will always bring back epic memories though. So heavy, still to this day.10 years ago

yeah man same here I was listening to this album all the time when this like shattered the metalcore scene, then 3 years later went to ozzfest 2004 for their album drop tour for Oncoming Storm, best concert ever because after these dudes played I got to see Lamb of God and Hatebreed afterward10 years ago

I'm 28 years old and remember the increase in fans almost overnight once that Album came out and they were on Ozzfest. I enjoyed them until the Oncoming Storm.
