First time to hear this tune and, I loved it. Just got back from Eufaula/Stigler OK 3 weeks ago for Dad's 90th B-day. Lots of snow on the hills while I was there, still it was nice to be back where I was born. The Sons of the Pioneers have always been my favorites when it comes to Western songs. You can feel their passion for the west. Wish they were still around. These young people of today don't know what they've missed.

My dad used to play with these guys. I guess they kept asking him to join, and he kept saying no. People around here knew my dad as, "The Oklahoma Indian"...LOL

Thank you for posting this. My mom was born in Oklahoma and we have some property there. Beautiful country but watch out for the chiggers! Love the Sons of the Pioneers. Thank you dvdman49 for posting this.

This brings back memories of my childhood in WWII. I loved Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and the Sons of the Pioneers! You'll never find any better harmony than these gentlemen had. I'm so happy that they wrote a song about my State: OKLAHOMA---born and bred here, and....PROUD OF IT!

THANK YOU! Born and raised in OK in the 50's and some of my favorite memories were of our 45's of this and other Sons Of The Pioneers records.

Wow, never heard The Sons of the Pioneers do this one? Thsi was like one of their staple songs. When I lived away from Oklahoma back in the 80's I played this song and You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma over and over. There is just something about Oklahoma that if you're born there or you lived there for any amount of time you just can't get it out of your blood.

When harmony meant voices blended, when the voice was the main part of the song. I remember a lot of the songs these gentlemen did. This one I had never heard. Thank you for putting it out so those of us who loved these singers could enjoy them again, and again. An Oklahoma born and raised cowgirl
