Lyrics:

You've been kept down

You've been pushed 'round

You've been lied to

You've been fed truths

Who's making your decisions

You or your religion

Your government, your countries

You patriotic junkies

Where's the revolution

Come on people

You're letting me down

Where's the revolution

Come on people

You're letting me down

You've been pissed on

For too long

Your rights abused

Your views refused

They manipulate and threaten

With terror as a weapon

Scare you till you're stupefied

Wear you down until you're on their side

Where's the revolution

Come on people

You're letting me down

Where's the revolution

Come on people

You're letting me down

The train is coming

The train is coming

The train is coming

The train is coming

So get on board

Get on board

Get on board

Get on board

The engine's humming

The engine's humming

The engine's humming

The engine's humming

So get on board

Get on board

Get on board

Get on board

Where's the revolution

Come onpeople

You're letting me down

Where's the revolution

Come on people

You're letting me down

A very unique band (unlike so many) with a wide assortment of songs/Albums, who's dramatically evolved from their very first (1981) Speak & Spell album, growing stringently & diligently uninfluenced by others, never giving up, strengthening their bond & friendships with each other, and have become a Worldwide phenomena!. Even when I'm feeling my worst, I can simply listen to any of their songs (old or New) leaving me with a positive and overwhelming feeling of well-being inside my mind, and not too many bands have this ability. Depeche Mode, definitely deserves their spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year 2017!!.

Acceptable Name

For some reason, I think this fits Injustice 2 so well... wish they used it for say, the end credits or something.

someone commented (i could see it in the first page of comments last play a few minutes ago) that said depeche mode were "liberal nutjobs" and "retards" for writing a political song and that that was a sure fire way to end your career. they also said that religion was another thing a band (or solo musician) should never sing about.~i can't find the person's comment now in all 5,538 comments to reply to them directly, but would like to suggest that if singing about politics and religion were a good way to kill a musical career, depeche mode should not have had one for the past 37 years. for me, as a devotee, their songs have always been about sex, religion and spirituality, and yes, politics; along with love and pain and suffering. "new dress" anyone?~not this audio video, but the actual video for "where's the revolution", i saw in a magazine article, a splendid version of the video for this song and wonder why it wasn't chosen as the "official" video. although you can tell the "official" version is directed by anton corbijn, the version i'm referencing, there could be no doubt whatsoever who directed the video. sadly, i cannot remember what magazine article i saw it in. if i do remember, i will edit my comment.~but, for the person who made the ridiculous comment, i don't understand why people take the time and energy to comment on a band who they obviously know nothing about. i can understand people commenting who make incorrect assumptions (as w/ "never let me down again" being about dave's drug addiction when it was written by martin prior to dave's addiction), but the absolute tripe the other person took the time to write, as i say, i don't understand. no one stands holding a gun to your head for you to listen to or watch music videos on here. if you don't care for something, w/ a simple click, it's gone. far better, i think, than coming across as a complete idiot.
