My mom got me hook on Christian metal when I was a teenager and she brought home a Living Sacrifice CD. She use to go to all the Christian punk and metal concerts with me! She's in her 50's and still loves this kind of music! Praise be to our Lord and Savior!!! He reigns for eternity!!!

if there isn't a command here, its a serious suggestion. Now, in the same respect I listen to this when I'm alone or with certain people who can connect with this. My wife cannot worship this way, nor my parents or grandparents..that's fine. I'm blessed to be able to sing hymns at church and then go home and worship God with harder music.

I do watch what I say. In fact I quoted what God has to say about it. God has spoken on the matter in Eph5:19 and Colosians 3:16. We can choose to obey or worship as we see fit. Yes, we are free to praise how we want. Not all praise is acceptable. Luke 6:46 "And why call me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" You say to let people praise the way they see fit. Why are you then stopping me? I am praising by pointing people to praise God the way HE has prescribed in his written word.

To answer your question "Where does the gospel say that God only likes one type of music?" Ephesians 5:19 tells us what kind of music God likes. commands, requires. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; So that is singing, not guttural wailing or screaming. In fact there are no commands to play any instruments. Singing is commanded and therefore pleasing.
